Frequently Asked Questions

What wool are your hats, gloves, scarves and other woollen products made from?

Our knitwear is handmade from soft lambswool or premium merino wool, depending on the style. The exact material is listed on each product page – always check before you buy if you have a preference. Curious about the difference? Read our merino vs. regular wool guide.

Are your products handmade or machine-made?

Every woollen piece is handknitted by skilful artisan knitters in Nepal. Our cotton and viscose garments are cut and sewn by hand in Nepal, Thailand, and India.

Where are Pashin’ products made?

Our wool knitwear is handknitted in Nepal. Clothing made from cotton, viscose, and other natural fibres is produced in Nepal, Thailand, and India.

How do I know what size to order?

Our hats comfortably fit head sizes from 48 to 62 cm – the wool naturally stretches and takes the shape of your head within the first couple of wears, and it fits 95% of our customers. As every hat is knitted by hand, sizes vary slightly from piece to piece. If your head is quite small or quite big, just tell us and we’ll help you find the piece that fits you perfectly. Full guide: How to measure your head.

How do I care for my woollen item?

Hand wash in cold water with a mild wool detergent, or use your washing machine’s wool cycle, then lay flat to dry. Best of all: just air it out after wearing, and wash only when you really need to – this keeps the wool’s natural protective layer intact. Full guide: Wool Care Guide.
